The OMNC seal is a set in the sky blue, with white as the dominant hue. Sky blue stands for the aspiration of OMNC. Unlimited, but with adherence to God the Almighty and the unending loyalty to the country and its people.
The Head of the Tamaraw
The Tamaraw is an animal, which can only be found in Mindoro it is strong and brave, and when disturbed and hurt becomes fearless and savage. The head of the Tamaraw at the center of the seal symbolizes the island of Mindoro, where OMNC rests.
The Bamboo Torch
The bamboo torch at the back of the tamaraw stands for the eternal flame. Which serves as the guide and inspiration of the OMNC students.
The Book
The book represents the continuing search for the knowledge. It is symbolically positioned at the bottom of the tamaraw’s head, to signify the government’s earnest intention of bringing the college education to the rural areas.
The Rays
The rays emanating all around the tamaraw’s head stand for the course offerings of the OMNC. Its primary goal is to serve the youth of Mindoro, in particular.
*The College Seal was originally designed in 1984 by Marie Joy Angcon, a Third Year A.M. section student. Refinement of the design was done by Manuel dela Cruz. The text/description was written by Dr. Sofronio S. Sanqui. Then College Instructor. Revision of the original design of the Seal were made by the National Historical Institute on 3 January 1985.
